son of a former magician  who also owned a small  cinema , started working with  special effects , having collaborated with several films from  short film  and parts of  theater . created in  2000  the traveling horror show  Mausoleum. In  2008  filmed your first  feature film ,  Mangue Negro , using as location the  mangrove  in the back of your house, in  Guarapari . Run with a budget of  R$  50 thousand, the film used the theme of  zombies  to denounce the problem of environmental degradation in the mangrove area. Since then, Rodrigo has been responsible for the feature films A Noite do Chupacabras (2011), Mar Negro (2013), As Fábulas Negras (2015), Mata Negra (2018) and the release Cemitério das Almas Perdida (2020),  the highest-budget production of your filmography. He is considered one of the greatest exponents of contemporary Brazilian horror cinema.
